You've set up a romantic evening at home. You have the lights dimmed, soft music playing and scented candles creating a soothing mood. Only to find out. Your wax candles have melted all over your carpet!
Don't Panic

Here Is What You Do
Picture
  1. Clean up any kind of stain in your carpet as soon as you notice it. The longer stains have to set in, the harder they are to get out.
  2. Fill a waterproof plastic bag with ice and lay it on top of the wax stain. Allow the wax to freeze. Make sure the wax stain is not getting wet from leaks or condensation, as moisture will make the stain harder to get out.
  3. Scrape off as much of the wax as you can with a dull knife or other hard flat edge

4. Spread a clean terry cloth or brown paper bag over the wax stain

5. Run a warm Iron over the paper or cloth to heat the was. The paper should absorb the wax as it melts. don't let the Iron get too hot or it could melt the carpet or burn the paper. The lowest heat setting for around 20 sec at a time      should do the trick.

6. Repeat step number 5 with fresh brown paper or terry cloth until the wax is all gone.

7. Go over the stained area with a Encore Carpet Care Spot remover to help get rid of any dirt left behind.

Red wine is one of the worst stain makers, but it can be removed with the most humble of ingredients: plain kitchen salt. It works on washable and non-washable fabrics and carpet.

Home Remedy for Removing a Red Wine Stain  With Salt

Things You Will Need
INSTRUCTIONS
Picture
                                                                          Clean towels or rags
Salt
Sheet of paper

Vacuum
Table knife
Club soda or plain water
Vinegar (optional) Call Encore
Hydrogen peroxide (optional) Call Encore

Step 1
React quickly to any wine spill. The longer you wait to act, the harder it will be to remove the stain.

 Step 2
Use a towel or rag to soak up a large amount of spilled wine. If all you have is a little splash, proceed to
 Step 3.

Step 3
Pour a generous amount of table salt on the wine spill and allow it to sit for several minutes. The salt will absorb the wine and the color along with it.

 Step 4

Gently scrape the salt onto a piece of paper with a table knife and discard. Vacuum thoroughly to get the remaining salt from your carpet

 Step 5
Pour some club soda or cool water on a clean cloth and blot gently to remove any remaining color. Repeat as necessary until all traces of stain are gone.

As a side not: Never pour liquid onto the spot directly. always apply to a white towel and then blot the spot on the carpet. Over wetting a spot can cause bigger head aches in long run.
